Daily rhythm: heat, dust, early starts
Day 1 in Casablanca is unhurried: intros, bike handover—Yamaha Tenere 700, BMW R 1250 GS or F 850 GS—gear check, route review by the ocean. Then contrasting cities: blue Chefchaouen, Fes medina, Atlas climbs toward Merzouga.
Desert and southern valleys run hot—departures move earlier. Gravel dust is normal; contrast lenses and a gaiter beat camera auto-mode.
After rain, mountain clay polishes. Sweep and the support van are not decoration: on those days group pace is safety, not Strava average speed.
Surfaces: not dune enduro, but real gravel
Tour card: asphalt + gravel, no “technical hard” sections, but mountains are unpredictable. Sand sections are short—not Erg Chebbi rally flat-out, but controlled stand-up throttle after briefing.
