Thirty days before departure, run the chain without skips: calendar slot → deposit → documents and motorcycle insurance → gear per checklist → 200+ km test day → briefing. Missing insurance or visa moves start date—it is not covered by enthusiasm.
Days 30–21: tour, date, honest level
Narrow the catalog by **region**. **Easy** filter—Garden Route GS (7d and 9d); **hard**—Ladakh 12d; rest **medium**. Still open the card: distanceKm, surfaceRu, **audience**, pillion, daily km.
Balkans GS or Garden Route—if audience matches your experience (mountain riding, long days). Vietnam and Morocco—with regular 200+ km days and confident switchbacks/gravel; Morocco audience states seven 200–350 km days.
Calendar shows seats and price for the date—catalog “from” ties to a specific departure.
Questions via contacts before deposit: height for bike, pillion, last riding experience.
Days 20–10: money and paper
Deposit per email after date confirmation. In parallel—riding insurance, visa/e-visa, IDP, booking copies in cloud.
Vietnam—match e-visa dates to calendar. Morocco—IDP and class A in jacket, not pannier.
Days 10–0: body, luggage, comms
Pack per checklist, ride 200+ km on an adventure bike. Note neck/back—adjust windscreen.
Route-country eSIM, offline maps, sweep and insurer hotline saved offline.
Two days before start—sleep, no untested new gear.
